Path of the Mystic Lover

I made 84 drawings to illustrate 84 songs by the Tantric minstrel sect, the Bauls of Bengal, translated in The Path of the Mystic Lover (1993). Some years prior to doing the illustrations I had a powerful mystical experience listening to their music and so I wanted to give something to them by illustrating and supporting this book. The drawings were done to combine with the writing on the page in the mode of the illuminated manuscript.
